Waukesha County is our home base
Our office is at S75 W17237 Janesville Rd #200, Muskego, WI 53150. Waukesha County is home base for Jewell Homes, and we also build across all of Southeastern Wisconsin. You do not have to limit your search to Muskego to work with us. Whether you already own a property elsewhere in the county or are still comparing communities, we can begin with the place and the home you have in mind.
Building a home involves more than selecting a floor plan. It means understanding how the property, the rooms, the finishes and your priorities fit together. Our approach brings direct attention and clear communication to that work, from your first conversation through final handoff. If your search extends beyond the county, our regional overview explains the broader area we serve.
Communities we serve in Waukesha County
We serve all of Waukesha County, not just the community where our office is located. The following pages offer a closer look at places you may be considering. Each homesite deserves its own review; a familiar city name alone does not tell you which design will work best on a particular property.
Muskego — Muskego is our office location and a natural starting point for an in-person conversation. Bring your ideas for the rooms you need, how you want the home to live and any property information you already have. We can discuss a personalized model or a fully custom plan without expecting every decision to be settled first.
New Berlin — In New Berlin, your starting point may be land you already own or an interest in a community homesite. We discuss both paths and how each relates to your design priorities. Five Fields on Historic Coffee Road is our New Berlin subdivision and is one place to learn more about when exploring your options.
Waukesha — For a home in the Waukesha area, start with the property rather than assuming a favorite plan will fit unchanged. Home placement, garage access and outdoor living all belong in the early conversation. Our Waukesha page explains how we move from your goals and lot details into planning, pricing and construction.
Mukwonago — If you are considering land around Mukwonago, think about the relationship between the house and the rest of the property. Views, yard use and the driveway can influence the design as much as the rooms inside. We help you bring those questions into the process before the plan is finalized.
Brookfield — A Brookfield project may begin with a specific parcel in an established neighborhood. That makes it useful to consider how the home faces the street and connects to its yard, alongside your interior wish list. Our local page discusses planning around a homesite and choosing a model or custom approach.
Pewaukee — In the Pewaukee area, a property's setting can be an important part of why you want to build. Consider which rooms should enjoy the outlook and how you want indoor and outdoor spaces to connect. We discuss those goals together with the lot details, rather than treating them as decisions to leave until later.
Oconomowoc — For an Oconomowoc-area home, bring the same attention to the land as you do to the floor plan. A home designed around its setting can support the way you want to gather, relax and use outdoor space. Our Oconomowoc page offers a starting point for discussing your property and building priorities.
Our custom build process
We begin by learning about your goals, lot, budget, preferred home style and must-haves. You might arrive with a plan you like, a list of frustrations with your current home or simply a property address. The first conversation is about understanding your starting point, not rushing you into selections before the overall direction is clear.
A Foundation Meeting brings your vision, lot details and priorities together. Then we plan, price and prepare, working through design details, allowances and site costs. You can begin with a model and personalize it or pursue a fully custom design. The important part is making the plan and the budget reflect the same project.
Once the agreement is signed, the project moves into construction and selections with a clear handoff. Communication continues as the home takes shape, and we review the completed home with you at the final walkthrough. Our custom homes page describes the process, cost categories and general phases in more detail.
What does a custom home cost in Waukesha County?
Custom homes start around $275 per square foot, heavily dependent on design and features. Treat that as an initial reference for a conversation, not a quote for a specific home. The layout you choose, the details you include and the finishes you prefer all help shape the actual project. A useful budget discussion begins with those choices and your priorities, rather than with square footage alone.
The homesite also needs its own review. Lot and site costs are not included in model prices, and they should not be overlooked when considering your overall investment. We work through the home design, allowances and site requirements together so you can understand what is being planned. If you are comparing ideas, tell us which features matter most and where you are open to adjusting the design.
Building through Wisconsin winters
Jewell Homes regularly builds through Wisconsin winters. Planning a home does not have to mean assuming that all construction waits for warmer weather. The season is part of the project conversation, along with your lot, the design work and the steps needed before building begins.
Winter building can cost somewhat more because of frost removal and heating concrete for foundations. We discuss those considerations as part of planning rather than suggesting that every season involves identical conditions. The right next step is to talk about your project and its readiness, not to rely on a general promise about a start or completion date. Your home's process and timing should be reviewed for the actual work involved.
Five Fields in New Berlin
Five Fields on Historic Coffee Road is our subdivision in New Berlin. If you are exploring a community setting in Waukesha County, its public page is a helpful place to learn about the location and begin a conversation with Jewell Homes. We can discuss your interest in the neighborhood alongside your ideas for a model-based or fully custom home.
You can also build with us on your own lot. Choosing between a community homesite and property you already own is a personal decision about where and how you want to live. We start with what you know about the land and help you consider how it connects to the home you picture, without assuming one path is right for everyone.
Tour our model homes
Seeing a home layout can make your ideas easier to explain. Our model homes page brings together floor plans, photos and features so you can compare the way different homes organize living spaces. Look beyond the exterior and consider how the kitchen, gathering areas, bedrooms and outdoor connections would support your routine. Note both the features you like and the changes you would want.
Explore the available model tours and speak with us about visiting a model home. Several models also have online walkthroughs, which let you look around before an in-person conversation. A model is a starting point for discussing your home, not a requirement to accept every detail unchanged. Bring your observations to the team and we can talk about personalizing a plan or taking a fully custom direction.
