Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions from our Customers
Q: In the homebuilding industry, it’s unusual to find a builder that will guarantee a specific price. I’ve heard about some worrisome reports from people that have had trouble with other builders’ “guarantees.” How does Jewell Homes manage to guarantee their price?
A: It’s true, there are some horror stories out there. But we remove all the guesswork. Because we sell you a whole house custom package, we can guarantee our price. We’ve found that to be the best systems building approach. Our price is as accurate as it can be because we limit the number of allowances we use.
Q: I’ve noticed that you have only one model available. Why is that?
A: One model is showcased at a time to assist in keeping our costs down. More models would equate to more house payments – and that would have to be tacked on to client costs. In our hearts, we don’t feel that is what we want to do to the people who put their trust in us.
Q: Will you be able to assist me in selecting a lot? It’s my understanding that the lot choice is important.
A: We at Jewell Homes will be more than happy to assist you in choosing the perfect lot for your dream home. Additionally, we can package one of our many available lots right along with your new home!
Q: At this point, are there any available vacant lots?
A: Right now, in Muskego, a 15-lot subdivision is being developed. (See www.thewatersoflakedenoon.com)
Q: I have a pretty good sketch of what I’m looking for in a home, but not an actual set of real blueprints. If that’s all I have to offer, can you still help me?
A: That’s not a problem. We will create a complete set of working plans from your sketch and look forward to seeing your ideas.
Q: So it’s okay to bring our own plans?
A: Absolutely! We can get a price for which to build your home after sending the plan out for bid.
Q: I like to begin work on my home from nothing but a built shell. Would you be willing to construct just the shell for my purposes?
A: Yes. From stopping at the foundation all the way through a completed new home, we will take the construction only as far as you want us to. You just tell us where to stop.
Q: From start to finish, to build a new home, what will the timeframe be?
A: Plan on approximately 6 to 7 months after the basement has been dug out.
Q: This all sounds great. I really do want to build a new custom home but, I’m not sure where to start. Where do I begin?
A: First of all, you can schedule a one-hour new home consultation, free of charge, by giving us a call. We will walk you through the whole process including a construction timeline, financing, budgeting, design, site selection (location), and more. If you’d like to visit the Jewell Homes Showroom, you can see firsthand the many available building choices that we offer.
